Terry F. Tingey,
DDS, MSD
Dr. Terry Tingey grew up in Idaho Falls where he enjoyed the recreation,
lifestyle and quality of life that Idahoans cherish. He attended
dental school at the University of Washington in Seattle earning
his D.D.S. degree in 1979. By completing 2 years of postgraduate
residency at the University of Washington, he became a specialist in orthodontics
and received his M.S.D. degree in 1981. He has been practicing as an orthodontic
specialist in the Boise area since 1982. He served as the orthodontic
consultant on the Southeast Idaho cleft palate team for more than 15 years.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American
Dental Association, and the Idaho State Orthodontic Society. Dr. Tingey keeps
up with the newest techniques and innovations in orthodontics by attending
several technical seminars every year. While raising a family of 5 children
(all of whom needed braces), Dr. Tingey has been involved in several organized
youth sports. Much of his spare time has been spent in leadership and service
in the Boy Scouts of America, the Kiwanis club and his church.
Dr. Tingey enjoys his profession immensely. He says, “Being an orthodontist
gives me the privilege of getting to know some great kids and adults over
two years, and then witnessing the thrill of accomplishment as our patients
show off what we have done together.”
