New Patient Exam:

Welcome!
We love seeing new patients and we're pleased that you've come to talk to us
about your family's orthodontic care. We understand that many people have different
needs and expectations about orthodontics. That's why we've set aside special
time during your first visit to meet with you and discuss your concerns. In addition
to a thorough clinical examination, we will talk about whether or not this is
the best time to begin treatment, or if further growth and development are needed.
We'll also be happy to review the financial aspect of your care. Although fees
will vary based on individual cases, we offer a variety of affordable payment
options. There is no cost for this examination.
Records Appointment:

We personally diagnose each patient's case based on the information gathered
during the initial examination and thorough review of diagnostic records. Diagnostic
records usually include impressions, digital photographs, and x-rays. These records
are analyzed and compared to standards, helping us make the best treatment choices
for your needs. The records appointment will require 20-30 minutes and must be
completed prior to the initiation of any active treatment. If time permits this
can be done at the first exam appointment.
Treatment Planning Consultation:

After diagnostic records are analyzed an individual treatment plan will be established and discussed with the patients and their parents (or husband and wife if appropriate). This will involve a general orthodontic overview as well as specific treatment recommendations. Additionally, we will discuss such things as whether teeth need to be extracted, or if complex orthodontic appliances will be needed.
We will, at this time, provide your family dentist with a letter of instructions (i.e.: cleaning schedule, specific tooth extractions, or restorations) that must be done during your orthodontic therapy. At this appointment we will also discuss the cost of your particular treatment and answer questions you have about insurance.
