Types of Treatment
A thorough examination, with diagnostic records will help the doctor formulate a treatment plan. The plan may include several treatment tools.

Metal Braces

Gold Braces

Clear Braces

  • Braces cemented to the teeth are made of metal (stainless steel or titanium), or they can be ceramic tooth colored for an “invisible” appearance.
  • Orthopedic devices can be used in children to alter the growth of the upper and lower jaws when the “bite” is incorrect.
  • Adults with “bite” misalignments sometimes need surgical repositioning of the jaw bones (orthognathic surgery).
  • Removable appliances, such as retainers, and invisaligners, are sometimes used to correct minor tooth alignment problems.
  • Removable night guards may be used to treat pain from TMD (temporomandibular disorders).

Jumper

Aligner

When a child’s teeth are not ready for braces, our eruption supervision program is a great value. We will periodically check for proper development of the teeth to catch any problems early. There is no charge for the recall examinations. If a problem becomes evident we will recommend treatment at the appropriate time.
